Wow! If you do one activity around Akumal, this should definitely be it. We stumbled on this trip after talking to someone else who had done it the day before and had heard about it from a local. I wish we had time to go on the tour more than once! Nothing beats having a cenote to yourself. The guides were awesome, the animals were really cool, and the cenote was the highlight of our trip! We did everything from snorkeling to ATV riding to cenote exploring and there was always a fascinating story to hear, and a magical piece of nature to appreciate. Finally, visiting the Eco Maya animal sanctuary is a must, they truly care about the well-being of the animals first and are providing a second chance at life for many unique Yucatan animals that would not have had the opportunity otherwise. I could not have been happier with my experience with Eco Maya and recommend them to everyone spending time in the Yucatan.
